Lauded as “one of America’s finest young chamber groups” (Strad), the Claremont Trio is sought after for its thrilling virtuosic and richly communicative performances. First winners of the Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson International Trio Award and the only piano trio ever to win the Young Concert Artists International Auditions, the Claremonts are consistently lauded for their “aesthetic maturity, interpretive depth and exuberance” (Palm Beach Daily News). We are thrilled to welcome back this trio which has enchanted our audiences for many seasons.
Clarinetist Anthony McGill is one of classical music’s most recognizable and brilliantly multifaceted figures. He serves as principal clarinet of the New York Philharmonic and maintains a dynamic international solo and chamber music career. He is hailed for his “trademark sound and rich character” (The New York Times) as well as for his “exquisite combination of technical refinement and expressive radiance (The Baltimore Sun).
